Early Education Programs
Our early childhood programs are carefully designed to introduce young children to Aboriginal culture through play-based, sensory and emotional learning. Children are invited to engage with traditional stories, language, art, song and dance, all of which support their early development while nurturing deep respect for culture and Country.
These sessions are guided by First Nations educators and storytellers, and delivered in ways that are appropriate for very young learners. We believe that when cultural understanding begins in the earliest years, it lays a foundation of empathy, belonging and openness that lasts for life.
Programs may include:
Language song circles
Storytime with animal Dreaming
Creative play with artefacts and textures
Cultural movement and dance
Connection to nature and place
Programs are available online and can be customised to reflect the language and stories of your local Indigenous community, with appropriate permissions and collaboration.

Speaking with Country introduces young learners to First Nations culture, language, and connection to Country. Through storytelling, songs, and interactive activities, children will explore Aboriginal languages, traditions, and the importance of respecting the land and its custodians.

Living with Country explores how First Nations people were the first scientists, engineers, and innovators, using deep knowledge of the land to create tools, build shelters, and sustainably manage resources. Children will discover the ingenuity of Aboriginal technologies, from boomerangs and stone tools to navigation by the stars.

Gather, Hunt, Heal explores the survival skills and sustainable practices of First Nations people, who have cared for the land for thousands of years. Through bush foods, traditional hunting techniques, and natural medicines, children will learn how the Aboriginal gathered, hunted, and healed while respecting and sustaining Country.

Nature’s Canvas invites children to explore Aboriginal art and cultural expression through storytelling, symbols, and natural materials. This program encourages creativity while deepening an understanding of First Nations traditions, connection to Country, and the stories told through art.
