Walk Together with Respect
Our First Nations Cultural Awareness Training builds understanding through story, reflection and shared learning. Facilitated by Melanie Kemp, a proud Yuwi and Ghungalu descendant, this session helps participants learn about First Nations histories, culture and people and engage respectfully with First Nations peoples, families and communities.

This two-hour program costs $150 + GST per person. Minimum cost is for 15 people and can facilitate up to 30 participants. Available for workplaces, schools and community groups.
Learn Through Lived Experience
Melanie shares knowledge drawn from culture and lived experience. Participants explore First Nations people, histories and culture. Each activity encourages open conversation, challenges stereotypes and deepens understanding. Together, participants learn how to create culturally safe spaces and build genuine relationships.
Explore History and Culture
The session begins with an introduction to the diversity and resilience of First Nations people across Australia. Melanie guides participants through local and national history, sharing stories of Country, community and connection. She discusses historical Australian policies such as protection acts, assimilation and other events that shaped the lives of all Australians. Each topic helps participants understand how history continues to impact First Nations people today.
Strengthen Cultural Safety for all
Participants learn how to work respectfully with First Nations colleagues, people , clients and families. Melanie shares practical tools for engaging with First Nations employees, colleagues, clients, young people and supporting inclusive, safe workplaces. The session also explores terms such as cultural appropriation and safety, explaining why it matters and how to celebrate culture appropriately.
