About the Workshop

In this guided session, participants will explore how Aboriginal people have long used native plants for nourishment, healing, and ceremony. Through storytelling and open discussion, facilitators share the history and continued importance of bush foods within community life.

Guests are invited to enjoy a Lemon Myrtle tea tasting, celebrating one of Australia’s most cherished native flavours. The experience highlights how bush ingredients like Lemon Myrtle, Wattleseed, Kakadu Plum, and Finger Lime are not only delicious but deeply tied to Country, wellbeing, and identity.

The workshop blends traditional knowledge with modern understanding, helping participants appreciate the balance between cultural preservation and sustainable food practices.
